Lynette Nickleberry, a graduate student at the University of Missouri-Columbia, spoke about the benefits of the State Children's Health Insurance Program for her two sons. Her 8-year-old has asthma and was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. Both conditions are being effectively treated thanks to SCHIP health coverage. Ms. Nickleberry expects to receive her Ph.D. in Family & Human Services in 2009 and to teach at the college level. |
